Facegrid

Privacy Policy

Effective: 4 October 2026. Applies to the Facegrid iOS app, published by Stackframe Studios Private Limited ("we").

The short version

Your 3D face scans are made and kept on your iPhone. We never receive your face mesh, depth data, camera images or measurements. We collect anonymous usage events to improve the app, and if you sign in, an account ID from Sign in with Apple. We don't track you across apps or websites, and we don't sell anything about you.

Your face data stays on your iPhone

Anonymous usage analytics

We use PostHog (servers in the United States) to see which features are used and where people get stuck, for example "first scan completed", "routine day completed" or a thumbs up on a haircut suggestion. Events carry app details such as a screen step or a style name, and where you heard about us if you told us, plus a random ID created on install. They never contain face data, measurements, photos, your name or your email. We don't record your screen and we don't share this data for advertising.

Your account (optional)

If you sign in with Apple, we store an account ID from Apple and your subscription status with our backend provider, Supabase. We don't ask Apple for your name or email. You can delete your account in Profile → Your data → Delete account: it removes your account and subscription record from our server, revokes the Sign in with Apple link, and erases the data on your iPhone.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We receive confirmation that a subscription is active so we can unlock Pro features. We don't receive your payment details.

Your rights

You can export everything the app holds about you (Profile → Your data → Export my data) and delete it at any time, as above. For anything else, including questions about data on our server, email us and we'll reply within 30 days.

Permissions

Not medical advice; adults only

Facegrid is for information only and is not a medical device or medical advice. It is for adults 18 and over and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change what we collect, for example adding an optional skin-photo analysis, we'll ask for your consent in the app first and update this policy and the App Store privacy label before that version ships.
